Aterrizaje 2030 is an initiative of Redonda&CO and OnCities2030, two non-profit associations that are committed to accelerating sustainable solutions through actions closely linked to territorial development. The name refers to the Spanish word for 'landing' and the reason why it was chosen becomes clear after seeing the original location where the initiative takes place.

The project, adapted by Redonda&Co and OnCities2030, from the original idea of Aterrizaje Madrid by Laura López Paniagua, consists of a transhumant laboratory whose objective is to develop and expose through co-creation processes new representations of the issues related to the habitability of the territory and the ideation of experimental solutions for it. A space for debate and communication to raise awareness and transform the way to address key issues for our model of society and sustainability for the committed citizenship of the 21st century.

This unique, mobile laboratory will take place in a recovered fuselage and will moves to places where it can carry out a transformative and solution-oriented debate, adding knowledge as it travels. It is a project that links a historical legacy of dialogue with nature: transhumance as an intelligent adaptation to natural resources according to the seasons; with the current need for innovation and reconceptualization of habits, spaces and technologies represented by an airplane.
